LBX Company is proud to announce that Shane Rhodehouse from Rhodehouse Construction in Rigby, ID is the new LBX Link-Belt Excavator Rodeo Champion! As winner, he takes home a $2500 vacation package as well as the opportunity to represent LBX at the 2014 CONEXPO in Las Vegas as the Rodeo "Champ." He will appear in promotional materials for the company as well as appear at the 2014 show in daily performances.
The Link-Belt Excavator Rodeo is a competition held by LBX Company at CONEXPO in Las Vegas. (VIDEO COMING SOON!) Held at every CONEXPO for the last 6 years, the Rodeo challenges excavator owners and operators to beat the time of the Rodeo "Champ" by using a Link-Belt excavator to scoop three basketballs off of the top of three cones and drop them into a bucket without dropping any balls, tipping any cones, or missing the bucket. This year's Rodeo utilized a new Link-Belt 250 X3 excavator, and Rhodehouse beat the best time of the 2008 Champ, Mark Foyse, by completing the Rodeo Challenge in just 8.59 seconds! Foyse's best time for the show was 11.09 seconds. An average rodeo time was more than one minute, a great testament to Rhodehouse's skills in the cab of a Link-Belt excavator.
CONEXPO is one of the nation's largest tradeshows and is held every three years, with more than 120,000 construction industry professionals from over 150 countries visiting the more than 2400 exhibitors. The 2011 show spanned 2.34 million net square feet of exhibit space and served as a rally point for the improving construction sector.
