EXCAVATOR RODEO

Once again at ConExpo, LBX will host the Link-Belt Excavator Rodeo, giving show attendees the opportunity to compete in an on-going contest to beat the Link-Belt National Rodeo Champion, Mark Foyse of West Bend, WI (read Mark's bio by clicking here).

Contestants in the timed event will operate a Link-Belt 210 X2 and attempt to move 3 basketballs from safety cones and drop them into a bucket without dropping the balls.

At ConExpo 2005, Foyse was able to complete the excavator rodeo in 17.8 seconds, earning him the title of National Champion.

The competitor who beats Mark's best time during the show will win a $2,500 vacation. Other daily prizes will include: Carhartt jackets, scale models and denim shirts. All participants will receive a limited-edition ConExpo hat.

Rodeo participants are required to pick up a basketball that’s perched on a safety cone and place it into a plastic bucket without knocking over the cone or dropping the ball. The individual that completes this task in the quickest time is the winner of the event.

There are a total of 3 basketballs sitting on 3 cones. Cones are placed in an arc approximately 15 feet in front of the machine and spaced approximately 8 feet between each other and the bucket. A referee will time each individual from a starting position to completion (return position).

Every participant will receive a free hat after they complete the event. Top 3 finishers each day will win a Link-Belt Carhartt jacket for 1st place, a Link-Belt LX model for 2nd place and a Link-Belt denim shirt for 3rd place.
